Virtual Parent Coaching

Let’s work together to support your child’s speech-language development by generating a plan, customized to fit you.

  • While traditional speech therapy involves seeing a child 1-2x/weekly with the therapist directly working with the child, parent coaching is an indirect service. We coach and educate the parent, providing tools to implement. Furthermore, there is no formal evaluation or diagnosis required. Parent coaching is designed to benefit all children!

  • To gain the full benefit of parent coaching, we require a minimum of 3 sessions. These are typically scheduled biweekly, allowing the parent to implement the plan between appointments and provide feedback to the SLP on how it’s going. Each session is 50 minutes. You are welcome to schedule more than 3 sessions if desired.

  • Each 50-minute virtual session is $100, with a minimum investment of $300. Because this is not a direct therapy service, we are NOT able to provide a superbill for parent coaching.

  • In our first session, the SLP will ask several questions to gain information about the parent and child. We may talk about daily routines, favorite toys, etc. From there, the SLP will provide strategies on how to support your child’s speech-language development within your lifestyles, providing examples and demonstrations. The SLP will develop a written plan for the parent to implement. At the follow-up appointments, you can also expect an open conversation with the SLP on what is going well and what could improve. The SLP may also provide feedback on how to implement any skill, if the parent wishes to trial strategies with the child during the session.
